A Local Virginia Native Makes NCAA Division II All National Football Team After A Revote.

Tre'Veon Clemons a local native from Suffolk, VA, was named to the NCAA Division II All National Team after a revote. The Sophomore from Chowan University didn't meet several requirements for the award. He didn't lead his team in receptions, receiving yards or receiving touchdowns. T. Clemons was tops in D-II football for total touchdowns (25) All-Purpose yards (2,761), yards per touch (15.3) The thing that makes him standout is he had- (44 rec 1012 yds 9TDs), (61 carries 620 yds 6TDs), (455 Punt Return yds 4TDs), (674 Kick Return yds 6TDs). He accomplished these type of numbers in only 10 games. With his help Chowan finished 4th in total offense in the nation under Division II. Clemons along with teammate Freshmen Robert Holland (Woodside High) was also named to the All American team. Holland was named to the Honor Mention team and Clemons was named to the First Team. They ask what's the difference between the All National team and the All American team? Well only twenty-five players in the nation can make the cut for the All National team, while you can have seventy-two All Americans in Division II football.
